I payed $50 for this card off newegg in 2006, it's warranty expired in 2007. It is mid 2010, it died last week. I ran its 24/7 for almost those 4yr you do the math it lasted heck of a long time. It would've went for more but the thermal paste just dried out and then made the card overheat. BEST LITTLE CARD I bought I make computer and wont be all tech, but it wasn't a real gamer car true but it ran most med lvl games on highest settings and had no problems nor drawed the psu for more power. I am sad it died but the work I ran through it in that 4yr would be equal to maybe 10yr of common use. It's over priced now bc XFX stopped making them and people still think they are gold. My new upgrade for my mid tower(i do have gamer rigs but just for avg) I bought the card below to replace this one. It dead on as a great replacement and then more!!

Nice card, Plays many games well, Majority of them on Medium to high settings.the XXX series offers DDR3,Cuda,Some of the Fastest factory settings in it's class. Nice warranty too. basically biggest bang for the buck including less wattage consumption. I chose it over Nvidia's 9x series for they seem to differ by PCI-E 2.0 only. Many 9x we're re stamped 8x series cards coupled with DDR2/3. kinda a turn off really.Look out, both can come fenced with DDr2..Either way,I Opt for a video card that runs at least ((DDR3)), you'll get better performance,due to the "trimmings" and "bandwidth"...and so on.. personally the current price of $150.00 projects a bit high in me, you could probably get a 250 or a aggressive ATI card for the same price.
Just be cautious, you can easily bottle neck your PC by such a act, one of the many elements of a lethargic build. This card should have a sustainable lifespan.Until you get into DX11 games.I guess my point is,There's time and or options available, seek titles from 2000/2010, you can play around 89% +or-12% of those titles
Lets face it, many games are written today using DX9 SDK.

Owned the card for two years, no games. As soon as I started gaming like a month ago 3 capacitors blew up. It was pretty nice while it worked. I hear you can replace them and they are very cheap. But as of today you would be better off buying a 9600 gt but beware of XFX using those cheap capacitors. In a forum, I found my exact same problem happened to someone else... exactly the same 3 FZ capacitors.
